Within a month, under Mark’s guidance and advice, the committee secured a new Racquets Director; a candidate whom everyone felt completely satisfied the needs of the membership and management alike. Mark was an absolute pleasure to work with; his professionalism and skill sets combined with his strong industry knowledge streamlined the process and allowed us to make the right selection. Should the need occur, we would not hesitate to appoint him again.

We are proud of our work, and grateful to each of the clubs with whom we have worked. We value the relationships we've forged and all we have learned from the people we have met during each search project~General Managers, Search Committee Chairs, Committee Members, Professionals and Club Members. Each person has been unique but all have shared with us, the goal of achieving excellence for their club’s program. Following are three examples of these relationships which we have built over many years.

GREENWICH COUNTRY CLUB - DIRECTOR OF RACQUETS One of the oldest private country clubs in the United States, Greenwich Country Club remains a prestigious club with a great history. With their membership growing stronger with young families and a high interest in tennis and paddle tennis, the club retained McMahon to lead it's search for a Director of Racquets. McMahon offered the search team guidance on the re-structuring of a more competitive and performance based compensation package before attracting a pool of outstanding candidates. Greenwich Country Club delivers a robust year-round racquets program which includes tennis; indoor tennis (bubble); platform tennis and squash that is one of the most active and successful in the Tri-State area.

ST. LOUIS COUNTRY CLUB - DIRECTOR OF RACQUETS A storied club with a fine history of high athletic performance, St Louis Country Club has a great tradition in tennis and golf with Dwight Davis (founder of the Davis Cup) being a founding member of the club, and the club having been host to one US Open and two US Amateur Golf tournaments. After the very successful 32-year tenure of the club's previous professional, the General Manager engaged McMahon to support the Search Committee through their selection process. The engagement included consultation by McMahon with a broad cross-section of club stakeholders, which surfaced a variety of viewpoints, priorities and expectations before the Position Profile was finalized. The club considered the merits of hiring a Tennis Director or Director of Racquets and McMahon provided counsel on specific responsibilities and a competitive compensation package for the new professional.

WEE BURN COUNTRY CLUB - DIRECTOR OF TENNIS With two physical tennis locations with a total of 13 tennis courts the Wee Burn Country Club began their search for a new Director of Tennis with McMahon facilitating a half-day, in-depth program review and goal-setting session with the Search Committee. The session was designed and facilitated by McMahon to help the committee and general manager assess the club's existing program - and to set goals and project how the program should evolve into the future. The outcome of the search under McMahon's guidance was the hiring of an accomplished professional who was ideally positioned in his career, and who had the appropriate and relevant experience, to take the club's tennis program to the next level.

Every search is an adventure and you took a lot of the guess work out of this one. I appreciate your effort and the committee, Spencer, Peter and Don echo that statement. You ran a very solid process that enabled us to get to a very qualified result.
